Where Was I?

Lange Sohne.

Am I the only one who feels a bit left out when I hear words like that Lange Sohne is a brand of watches I know nothing about. I do not know about anything fashionable if you need to know the truth!

Some days I read blogs where girls are talking about designer jeans and Prada purses and I kinda wonder, where was I when they were passing out all this girl knowledge stuff?

I bet I was in the line for coffee.

Le Sigh

So I finally got time to clean out the closet that we store all of our outerwear in. It still had summer coats and sandals in it. This means we had no room for the WINTER clothes in it.

This afternoon I sent all of the summer sandals and coats out to the garage with my husband to store over winter. He came back in, with all of the stuff becuase there wa sno reoom in the garage for them. What I really need is some garage cabinets. Then I would not have a pile of coats and shoes tossed in the corner of my room!

Cords and Cables and Wires! Oh My!

Check that out. I hate it. And the counter is worse, in my opinion becuase the cords are visible. To take this photo I had to open the doors on the little table thingy we use. Some days I feel like opening a bulk cable store, selling the cords off one by one and going to the casino with the proceeds.

But then I wise up and remember that without these annoying and unsigtly cables, I would have no internet.

Can't win, can I?

Bathroom Diva

In the past, bathroom vanities were boring. A square or rectangle, with a sink in the middle. When we built our basement, one of m favorite parts was decorating the bathroom. We found the perfect vanity - ON SALE- MARBLE- MARBLE ON SALE- SO ON SALE WE COULD AFFORD IT ON SALE!

Uhm. anyway. We found the perfect vanity and then I shopped for day to find the perfect tile to match and then we found the cutest wall hangings and ...

Anyway. I miss the whole building part of owning a home. I miss the time me and Hubs spent screwing up drywall and painting. (I do not miss the shooting of my finger with a nail gun.)

If you have a bathroom that needs doing, call me, ok?

Ouch!

I have such a bad headache!

It's not a "real" headache though. It;s becuase I slept wrong and my neck is tense. When I get a headache it starts off small, like with a sore neck, but then it just keeps growing and growing and growing.

I'm pretty thankful I do not get migraines nor do I suffer from headaches more than ...sa once or twice a week, and usually I can make them go away with some Tylenol or Advil. I Pink Puffy Heart Advil.

Tonight we are going to the school Fun Night. We always have fun at fin night (lol) but I am worried that if I cannot get my headache under control by the time we leave, this will be the first year we do not have fun.

That saying when Momma is upset, everyone is upset? It's very very true in my house!

I'm going to go take an Advil. The Tylenol I took at lunch didn't do a damn thing!

If I remember to bring my camera tonight there will be pictures for y'all too look forward to later. Although I am not sure if they will be here or my picture blog, nor do I know how much work it will take to doctor the pics so that other people are not in them!

Oye Vey

The worst part of my day is, without fail, between five PM and seven thirty PM.

Between those times I have to get off my butt and decide whats for dinner, and I never feel like cooking so even once I decide what we are having its a challenge for me to do it.

Then I have to sit at the table and fight with the children to eat eat eat. Yes even the beans. Just EAT!

Then I have to get the oldest to do his homework, which is pretty hard becuase i cannot read his writing and can only go on what he says has to be done.

Sigh.

bathing the younger two is easy, but getting the seven ear old to wash every part of his body, not just soap up his man parts, is a challenge and a half.

The last half hour of the day is easy, the boys think teeth brushing is a treat not a chore and story time is alwyas relaxing.

But oe, getting from five to seven thirty? Every day it makes me want to scream!

Dinner With The In-Laws - Part two

Well it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

Dinner was great - a traditional turkey meal - and I am always game for a meal I don't have to cook!

They spent a fair bit of time bitching about Husbands new iPod, and the fact we spent money on the new automated litter box - Father in law believes that cats are perfect - mounted one on wither side of the fire place.

And he isn't joking when he says it. They really believe we should just conk her on the head and toss her in the trash.

Sigh.

When will they understand that Tigger is not just a cat, she is family.

[sarcasm] Wonderful news [/sarcasm]

I just got off the phone with my mother in law. apparently My sister in law - whom the in laws took off in a fit to visit becuase they were mad at me - is sick.

So the are home. In addition, My mother in law managed to catch my sister in laws sinus cold AND wants us to come to dinner tonight!

YAY

The last thing I want to do tonight is spend the evening rehashing our decision to take away the kids bikes. It's a moot point anyway as it is now too cold to drive them.

Add to that, chances are very high I will catch her sinus cold on top of the regular everyday cold I have now.

If I succumb to Death by Cold,, I swear I will haunt her and I will NOT be a nice ghost.

My friend the bullet

  • My gums are about 85% healed and I can finally eat solid foods again!

  • YAY

  • Oh wait. My throat is too raw and sore for anything but liquids.

  • SIGH

  • On the bright side, Coffee with BFF kissy is slated for Friday Or a Sunday, so I can drag the hubby with me!

  • I have a big patch of dry skin on my ankle all of a sudden. WTF is with that?

I'm gonna go make some more tea. TTyL

eBay Seller? Me??

lately I have been mulling the thought of trying to sell on eBay as opposed to only buying on it. But there are fees and things. Looking at the fee chart it appears that a percentage of the final sale goes, as well as having to pay a small fee for listing an item.

This is all good and well, I can see that the eBay fees itself will come out of the sale of whatever item, but what about shipping?

How do I know what to charge for shipping? Is there some sort of online thing that will say from here to there and there to here costs this amount?

I have a huge apple box full of old records. I don't even know if the work, how would you tell? My dad gave them to me a long time ago and asked me to sell them for him. At the time I took the box and said I would look into it, and haven;t done anything since.

Any help, ANY, is appriciated!

Post about Poop! Look Away!

My three ear old is completely potty trained. During the day that is. At night its a whole different story.

It's not as though he cannot open his bedroom door, and its not as if he does not know when he has to go.

Yet each morning he is soaked clear through. He wears a pull-up, which saves on sheets, but not on money. Even worse, some morning he has a something more solid in his pants.

How can I convince him that even if it is night time he is allowed to open his door and go potty? You see. My kids are super good, and since the time they were babies they went to bed and stayed in bed.

The older two understood that potty trips were AOK, but the baby? he just doesn't get it.

I'm tired of buying pull ups, and i am tired of changing diapers.

Help me help him stay dry through the night...

....maybe if i bribe him with a jelly donut?
