Woah

I think it is time for me to get a life. You see, this is m six hundredth post.

600.

wow.

Add to that the 63 posts on Where Was I?, the 186 posts on Bluepaintred Pictures and the 932 posts on Bluepaintred and you have..well, a lot.

And what have I learned over the last billion posts besides the computer is stealthily leading me down the road to bad posture?

Not much.

I read about bloggers who have niche blogs. Blog where the only write about one thing and one thing only. How do they DO that?

I write about everything and ANYTHING that I think of!

What do ou think about niche blogs? Could you keep one going long term?

Bathroom Diva

In the past, bathroom vanities were boring. A square or rectangle, with a sink in the middle. When we built our basement, one of m favorite parts was decorating the bathroom. We found the perfect vanity - ON SALE- MARBLE- MARBLE ON SALE- SO ON SALE WE COULD AFFORD IT ON SALE!

Uhm. anyway. We found the perfect vanity and then I shopped for day to find the perfect tile to match and then we found the cutest wall hangings and ...

Anyway. I miss the whole building part of owning a home. I miss the time me and Hubs spent screwing up drywall and painting. (I do not miss the shooting of my finger with a nail gun.)

If you have a bathroom that needs doing, call me, ok?

Damn Dog

A week ago, without thinking, I put my glasses on the end table and laid down on the couch for a nap. I awoke to a rather disturbing crunching sound. Smokey had found my glasses and chewed them up. Luckily I had already made an optometrist appointment for Friday, so I have only had to deal with my scratched up lenses for this past week.

You would think that we would have learned our lesson when it comes to leaving expensive things out that the puppy may potentially chew up.

But no. We haven't.

Last night when the Hubs hopped int he shower after work, he took of his watch and laid it on the counter. If you have assumed that Luminox watches are now a part of Smokey's preferred diet, you would right.

Le sigh

Resistance is futile!

Today of course is Halloween. Some years you can expect trick or treaters right as soon as school is over, and other years, not until later.

This Year I expect a lot of kids becuase there is NO SNOW on the ground. I simply CANNOT recall the last Halloween with no snow.

SO I have my Trick Or treat candy sitting in a big bowl on the counter. I sweat the KitKats are laughing at me every time I look away and I am pretty sure that the spit ball came from the Tootsie roll in the middle. He has a smug look to him.

In fact. I think I had better go take preventative measures against a candy uprising!

Dragon Cake

For my son's eighth birthday he wanted a dragon cake, and he got one. But did we shell out big bucks to have it made for him?

Nope.

We searched online for a pattern and helped him make it himself.

He was SO proud of his creation. When my Five ear old turns six, we are going to do the same thing, let him pick - and make - his own cake.

Sure there is a bit more mess and a bit more work than a regular sheet cake, but the joy and pride RM got from showing off his cake is WAY more than worth the hassle!

Monopoly

McDonald's has bought back the monopoly game they love so much. We generally go to Mickey Dee's about once a month, but with the birthday this month we have gone twice now. I love Big macs

A lot.

No really, A LOT.

anyway, each time McDonald's comes out with their little games we diligently collect all the pieces and put them in their special spot. We put all the codes online and cross our fingers.

(we never win)
Tis time we are one space from 50, 000. I KNOW that there will only be one, MAYBE two of those ones printed, but just the idea of being the one to find it has me all excited.

Not excited enough to make extra trips to McDonald's, but still....... excited.

Do you play these games ?

And Baby makes Five

Last night the baby - I really need to stop calling him that!

Last night the toddler started coughing and then got pale and threw up.

Yay. He was the last hold out in a family of sickies.

The good part is that we are only nauseous for a day, then it turns for some reason, into a cold.

If he misses Halloween this ear being sick, like he did last year, being sick, I am going to cry!

speaking of Halloween, Did I mention I picked up some pumpkins? we are going to carve them tomorrow night!

Puppy Love ; Asle seven

The other night we drove into the city to take the children to the bowling ally as part of my oldest son’s birthday celebration. We went early, so that we would have lots of time for our very pokey three year old to have time to finish his dinner. Unfortunately, for once in his life he ate fast so we were left with a full hour to kill.

We stopped into a pet store that is very close to the bowling ally. Three weeks ago we got a puppy and we are still in that stage of puppy love where we are always bringing home treats for her to try out! The pet store we went to is one of the kinds that allows you to bring our pet with you and we saw the cutest Basset Hound ever! Her eyes were so pleading, like m kids in a candy store and she was so friendly, her fur was very soft, much softer than our Border collie’s fur!

We had never considered a Basset Hound when we were thinking puppies, but now I kind of wish we had!

Halloween Week - TV

I am SO tired of B rated movies that are only being played becuase it is the week leading up to Halloween.

And the worst part is my Husband eats these movies up with a spoon. I am OK with the movies like Wizard of Oz - the boys loved it, and the cartoon movie Corpse Bride - the kids were so so on this one, the watched a bit, played a bit, watched a bit, etc.

But once nine PM hits, its stupid movies like Child's Play and whatever retarded one this one is. Some priest is murdering all the kids who make out.

So overdone. SO retarded. I cannot wait till Halloween has come and gone, and not just so that I can gobble down candy by the fist full!

Tattoo Talk

Today I had to run into the city for some icing making supplies. Line up six million and nine people and I will have the worst memory of them all.

I didn't want to forget anything on my list becuase I had no intention of driving allllllll the way back into the city so I jotted my list down on the inside of my wrist.

All day long I keep catching glimpses of black ink on my inner arm and it has absolutely cemented my desire for another tattoo. Well. to be honest, I have wanted another one for three years, but I did not know where I wanted it and becuase tats are for life, I wanted to be sure before I was inked.

I want it large, from my wrist to elbow (on the inside) and I want it to be feminine. Swirly. colorful, dramatic. Mike, the guy I go to for tattoos is an awesome artist, so I am going to give him those guidelines and tell him to go wild.

And I feel really good about this decision!

Hmmm

So, faced with sky high cholesterol, I was wondering. If you can get face lifts, breast lifts stomach tucks and well, you can redo the whole outside of your bod if ou have enough money, is there anywhere I can go to get a plasma lift?

I assume that since cholesterol is a build up int he actual veins, switching around my blood wouldn't do me a bit of good, but wouldn't it be neat if I could? M sister used to be on dialysis and they took out all her blood, cleaned it and put it back in three times a week. Too bad they couldn't fix my problems this easy!

Brrr

Its that time of year again! The time when I start complaining with every other sentence about how cold it is and how cold I am and how cold it is and how cold I am and how co..

anyyyyway! It's pretty cold today and I am also pretty cold due to the fact it is REALLY FREAKING COLD.

My neighbors are trying to sell their house. Yesterday morning their water taps burst.

(Yea I did spend a half hour out int he cold taking pictures of it while my husband sat on the phone trying to locate our erstwhile neighbors so they could shut their water off.)

Am I ever glad we shut our taps off a week ago!
