Speaking of Halloween

It is ten days from Halloween. We have never, in my memory had a Halloween without at least a little snow. Usually, it is a lot.

Where we live, kids still dress up as fairies and princesses, but the costumes have to be large enough to fit a snowsuit toque and mittens under it.

So far, my dad has had snow, and he is forty minutes from me, but we haven;t even had a flake of the white stuff. Not that I am excited or anxiously waiting for it! Completely the opposite in fact!

Last year from first snow fall to the last we had almost eight months pass (I think it was seven months 18 days, but I am unwilling to go check). Winter is my least favorite time of year, even if it does have Christmas!
