The worst part of my day is, without fail, between five PM and seven thirty PM.
Between those times I have to get off my butt and decide whats for dinner, and I never feel like cooking so even once I decide what we are having its a challenge for me to do it.
Then I have to sit at the table and fight with the children to eat eat eat. Yes even the beans. Just EAT!
Then I have to get the oldest to do his homework, which is pretty hard becuase i cannot read his writing and can only go on what he says has to be done.
Sigh.
bathing the younger two is easy, but getting the seven ear old to wash every part of his body, not just soap up his man parts, is a challenge and a half.
The last half hour of the day is easy, the boys think teeth brushing is a treat not a chore and story time is alwyas relaxing.
But oe, getting from five to seven thirty? Every day it makes me want to scream!

Yeah, I get it. I don't mind cooking, but sometimes it's hard to get Kat to eat. Other times she eats everything in sight. Bathing is easy because she loves it, but brushing teeth is like pulling teeth..LOL!
We try to get her into bed by 7:40 or so (so we can sit and relax by 8:00), but most nights we run about half an hour behind.
Luckily, we don't have homework yet.
My hours are generally between 6:45 and 9 in the morning. The Toddler gets up so early! She'd like to resume getting up at 3 to play with Daddy, but Mommy needs just a few minutes past sunrise to get her day going. And I can never quite get those in... My solution is to schedule all our early intervention and therapist/specialists for as early as possible. That way I'm driving and getting my thoughts in order, and when we get home everything's already moving.
One of these days it'll all come together for all of us. I have to believe that.
Annie - Once school starts, thats when bedtime is important. I notice that when RM stays up even half an hour late on a school night he is a bear the next day.
FireFlower - six in the MORNING? OMG. i have to get up between six thirty and seven, but i am not expected to be presentable or even talk until seven thirty!
